Dezeen Showroom: French furniture brand Tiptoe aimed to bring simplicity and character to its Étude chair, a lightweight and stackable design with versions for the lounge and dining room.
Étude combines the metal legs and wooden seat of a classic classroom chair with a contemporary aesthetic driven by strong lines and soft colours.
The chair has been designed with several variations that adapt it to different functions: the standard version is a dining chair, but there is also a lounge version with a low, wide and inviting seat, and a textile-covered version that makes a comfortable option for the home office.
The chairs are made with powder-coated steel for the frame and oak wood for the seat and back, which can be ordered with a natural or stained finish, and there is the option to include oak wood armrests for added cosiness and character.
“Through this collection, the studio wishes to share its passion for a resolutely modern and lively vision of product design,” said Tiptoe.
Tiptoe manufactures the Étude collection entirely in Europe and promises that it is durable, repairable and capable of standing the test of time.
