Force Gurkha 3-Door And 5-Door: New TVC Released

Force recently launched their all 5-door version of the popular off-road SUV Gurkha in the market. The SUV is actually the extended version of the 3-door version which was already on sale. The 3-door version has also been updated and the prices now start at Rs 16.75 lakh, ex-showroom and the 5-door version costs Rs 18 lakh, ex-showroom. The manufacturer has also launched a new TVC which showcases both these SUVs in it.

The video has been shared by Force Motors on their YouTube channel. The video starts with the 5-door version as this is the new introduction in Force Motors lineup. The video is completely created digitally. The manufacturer has used digital renders of the SUVs to showcase its performance at higher altitudes and rough terrains. The round headlamps with LED DRLs and lights in it can be seen here.

The front grille of the SUV has been redesigned slightly and it comes with Gurkha branding on it. We do not see the Force Motors logo anywhere. The fender lights are placed right at the same spot as the 3-door version. The video shows 18-inch alloy wheels with a new design. The wheels are wrapped with all-terrain tires. Force was the only manufacturer to offer a functional snorkel with an SUV from the factory. It continues to do so with the 5-door Gurkha as well.

The side profile of the SUV remains the same as the older version of Gurkha. It retains the boxy G-Wagen-like design and with the addition of one 2 more doors and increased length, the resemblance with the original G-Wagen is a lot more.

The video then shows the interior of the SUV. The Gurkha 5-door is a three-row 7-seater SUV. The car comes with captain seats in the last row. The second-row seat is bench type with a center armrest. The front seats are captain with individual armrests. The dashboard design of the SUV also remains the same as the older version.

There is a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The AC vents are neatly placed on either side of the screen. The instrument cluster on this 2024 Gurkha has been updated too. It now gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster which shows all necessary information including TPMS.

The manual gear lever for the 4×4 has been removed and it now comes with an electronic dial with shift-on-the-fly function. The 7-seater or the 5-door version of the SUV gets roof-mounted AC vents. The car is powered by the same engine as before. It uses a 2.6-liter turbocharged diesel engine that generates 140 PS and 320 Nm of peak torque.

The older version of the SUV used to produce only 91 Bhp. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and comes with 4×4 as standard. The SUV also comes with front and rear locking differentials.

The SUV rivals with the Mahindra Thar 3-door and upcoming 5-door Thar or the Armada as it is rumored to be called. The Mahindra Thar will be using the same 2.2 litre diesel and a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine as the 3-door version.
