A big part of Jeremy Allen White’s appeal is his ability to look good in just about anything. Dirty tee, ripped jeans, and a pair of dorm room slides? Drool-worthy stuff. Half-dressed in a rumpled suit with a lit cig dangling from his mouth? Hang it in the Louvre. Splayed out on a rooftop couch in nothing but his skivvies? Duh. And tonight at the Emmys 2024, The Bear star proved he also looks good simply dressed up in a clean, crisp, totally normal tuxedo.
White was once again in his Calvins, though this time it was a bit of classic Calvin Klein tailoring rather than the American designer’s iconic briefs. (Though we’re willing to bet he had a pair of those on underneath, too.) From the satin shawl lapels to the slim bow tie to the shiny patent shoes, the 33-year-old actor—who won his second consecutive Emmy tonight—was the very picture of an Old Hollywood leading man.
“What I really enjoy seeing in men’s suiting in particular is: Does somebody look comfortable? Does it look effortless? Does it look easy?” White told GQ‘s Eileen Cartter about the Calvin Klein ensemble he wore to the Golden Globes. “If a suit is well-made and structured to your body, it helps you feel more confident and empowered and effortless and cool, ultimately. They did such a beautiful job with that suit.” Needless to say: they did a great job this time out, too.
