Met Gala 2025 Watches: Exclusive Wrist Shots from Walton Goggins, Usher, and More

The Met Gala red carpet has always been the best place in the world for gawking at incredible fashion, but in recent years, it’s also become a great place to spot incredible timepieces. Attendees determined to look their best know they can no longer ignore their wrists. That seems especially true at the Met Gala 2025. The gala’s theme is inspired by “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” the Met Costume Institute’s new exhibition exploring the history of Black dandyism. The official dress code is “Tailored for You.”

The timepieces worn by the event’s A-list guests this year are especially killer. However, close-ups are hard to come by, and more often than not we’re thwarted by those pesky suit sleeves that leave only a fraction of a watch showing or none of it at all. Thankfully, we’ve found a workaround for the third Met Gala in a row.

Tonight, the best-dressed attendees have been sending their wrist shots exclusively to GQ. See the full selection below and check out the full gallery of watches here.

Usher owns the Met Gala red carpet, especially when it comes to watches. His $5 million Jacob & Co. covered in rubies stole the show last year. This year, he went with JLC’s famous Reverso. He’s removed several zeroes from the price tag, dropping from $5 million to just under $50,000, but the watch doesn’t give up that much in its wow factor. This watch is is no slouch in the diamond category. The Reverso is set with over 300 stones.
