Dezeen Showroom: Australian lighting brand Neoz has put its latest technology into the Piccolo portable table lamp, which has a petite yet powerful form.
Designed in-house by Peter Ellis and Gabriel Tam and standing just 15.5 centimetres tall, the Piccolo light has a compact size and strong impact – just like the Australian coffee drink after which it is named.
Its impact comes from pairing a brushed metal conical body with a polycarbonate diffuser, which has a ribbed, crystal-like finish that refracts light.
It runs on Neoz’s new N1 Cordless Light Engine, which promises a class-leading custom warm white LED and over 17.5 hours of illumination at maximum brightness.
The Piccolo light is weather-resistant, allowing it to be used outdoors. For the hospitality sector, Neoz offers a professional charging station that can simultaneously recharge up to 48 lamps.
The lamp’s internal structure is made of 75 per cent post-consumer recycled plastic, and its body, bulb and battery modules are user-serviceable, extending the product’s life.
